Since January of this year, 270 tests for measles have been carried out at the National Center for Expertise by sequencing.
During the examination, 82 cases were found to be positive. The largest number of studies falls on the city of Almaty, the Turkestan region and the Zhetysu region. Currently, all NCE branches are provided with test systems for measles detection.
Note that measles is an acute viral disease that manifests itself in the form of high fever, intoxication, cough, runny nose, conjunctivitis and rash. The virus is airborne and can easily spread over long distances.
Prevention of measles is, first of all, vaccination. Disinfection is mandatory: ventilation of the room, wet cleaning, lack of contact with other (not sick) people.
