Today, a meeting between representatives of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Committee of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a delegation from the Eurasian Economic Commission was held at the National Center of Expertise.
From the Kazakh side, the meeting was attended by Nurkan Sadvakasov, Deputy Chairman of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Committee of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Ainagul Musina, First Deputy Chair of the Board of the National Center of Expertise. From the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), Alexander Subbotin, Member of the Board (Minister) for Technical Regulation, and Vladimir Sinkevich, Director of the Department of Sanitary, Phytosanitary, and Veterinary Measures, participated.
The parties discussed issues of state control over compliance with technical regulations in the Republic of Kazakhstan, ensuring sanitary protection of the EAEU customs border, as well as current issues of conformity assessment procedures and integration with the information systems of EAEU member states.
During the visit, the delegation also learned about the activities of the National Center of Expertise. Ainagul Musina presented information on the laboratory equipment, compliance with technical regulations, and the development and implementation of laboratory research methods.
Special attention was paid to interaction with the Codex Alimentarius Commission, in which the EEC has observer status.
Following the meeting, the participants noted the constructive nature of the dialogue and discussed common approaches in the area of technical regulation aimed at further developing a coordinated policy within the EAEU.
